Manchester United's transfer target and Atlanta Star Rasmus Holjund has hinted that he is aiming to get to the top of his game as a footballer, and he sees the Red Devils as a team that could give him the platform.
Erik Ten Hag reportedly placed him on the Red Devils transfer list as a potential striker signing in the club's bid to solve their poor finishing and take the goalscoring burden off Marcus Rashford's shoulders.
Rasmus Hojlund is a 6ft 1in tall striker, likened to Manchester City's Erling Halaand due to his side's imposingness, excellent technique, and agility in the air. He also has some pace to complement his good positioning as a striker.
Already making impacts at the international level with his country's national team, Denmark. He scored a hat trick in a 3-1 victory over Finland in March before netting another brace in Denmark's 3-2 defeat to Kazakhstan. He also took his good form to the Seria A with Atalanta.
With the transfer window approaching and news about him joining Manchester United steadily flying around the media, the player has hinted he could possibly be on his way to Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, early this month, the 20-year-old joined SEG Agency, the same firm that represents Erik Ten Hag. Critics predicted it could be due to a potential move to Manchester United.
Rasmus Hojlund hinted that he has someone on trial with an agent company. Hojlund told local media in Denmark, as per SportsBible "I have got someone [from an agent company]. But they are on a trial period. It's a trial period, and that's all I can say."
The 20-year-old further clarified the fact that Manchester United's manager Erik Ten Hag has been in touch with him via video chats.
“There has been no video call,” Hojlund told Danish outlet Berlingske. “I can't say anything about that."
“It's a huge club, so I must have done something right if it says they want me. My goal is to reach the top shelf, and you can say that Manchester United is there. So it will be huge.”
