As per reports from an article by Insidefutbol, Manchester United are set to receive a half-time advantage in the pursuit of Frankfurt's striker Kolo Muani.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Frankfurt, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich showing solid interest in signing the striker after an impressive campaign in front of goal for the Bundesliga outfit.
Frankfurt sports director Markus Krosche has set a stunning €100 million price tag to let Kolo Muani leave this summer. And according to Sky Deutschland, the 20-time Premier League champions are set to be the only suitor for the 40-goal and assist striker, as Bayern Munich are not ready to pay the asking price for the former Nantes man.
Manchester United's squad revamp has seen them delve into the transfer market and search seriously for a world-class striker, the kind they lacked through the whole of the 2022–2023 season.
With Insidefutbol claiming that Bayern Munich are set to withdraw their interest in Kolo Muani's race, the Red Devils are set to have only Paris Saint-Germain as their potential competitor for Frankfurt's ace.
Manchester United's opening bid of £35 million for Rasmus Hojlund was also rejected, according to multiple reports.
The Seria An outfit is allegedly asking for £50 million plus bonuses, which will amount to £70–£80 million. Manchester United have been warned to be weary of overpaying for a player who hasn't proven himself as an elite player.
In another transfer saga, Manchester United have been told to up their £40 million bid for Chelsea's Mason Mount.
TalkSports claimed that the Red Devils would improve their bid to an excess of £50 million. Chelsea are keen on cashing in on their academy graduate, who is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Red Devils have reached an agreement on personal terms with the 24-year-old England international. TalkSports also affirms this report. However, the Blues value the Cobham graduate at around £70 million and expect a second bid to increase by £20 million.
Glen Johnson while speaking to Betfred made a major claim about the 24 year old future at Stamford Bridge.
"If Chelsea are asking for £80million, then I believe that’s evidence that they are looking to keep Mason Mount. If they wanted to get rid of him, they would be asking for significantly less money."
Chelsea are reportedly working exclusively to balance their books with possible high-profile departures from Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window. Alongside Mason Mount, Kai Havertz is likely to exit the club, with unverified rumors of him allegedly joining bitter rivals Arsenal circulating the media.
