Facundo Pellistri sends message to Erik Ten Hag after amazing display in Uruguay's win

After a 'perfect night' in his Manchester United debut, Facundo Pellistri has shown what he has to offer Erik Ten Hag's team despite his young age.

The 21-year-old is surely not giving Erik Ten Hag breathing space after putting on a worthy Man of the Match display for Uruguay as he played the full 90 minutes for his country against Nicaragua in an intentional match.

Facundo Pellistri provided the assists for the first two of the South American's four goals, setting up Matias Arezo for the 8-minute opener and Rodrigo Zalazar's first goal of the night.

The young Uruguayan, who waited patiently for two solid years since his move from Panerol for his Manchester United debut, is doing all he can to give Erik Ten Hag a season to keep him at Old Trafford with every single chance he gets on the pitch.

The reason why Facundo Pellsitri's Manchester United debut was a "perfect night" was explained was explained by the Uruguayan youngster in a recent interview.

In a cup match against Charlton Athletic last year, Facundo Pellistri made his Manchester United debut for Erik ten Hag.

Although he has struggled to make the United team, he has started this season in competitive matches for both club and country, including the 2022 World Cup.

Speaking to club media, Pellistri expressed how delighted he felt to make his club debut and how it is something you'll always remember and treasure.

“Yes, it was incredible,” he said. “Making your debut is amazing. But sometimes, of course, you can play only eight or 10 minutes and sometimes you may not touch the ball, but, in that case, I touched the ball and I could assist Marcus (Rashford).

“So it was a perfect night. And I remember it. Me and my family remember that night.”

When asked how he liked playing in the Premier League, he responded right away that he was acclimated to the intensity because the high-level action is frequently simulated in practice.

“The Premier League is, of course, one of the best leagues in the world. Yes, it’s a good league with a lot of intensity. Of course, the way we train here in Carrington, it’s almost the same way that the Premier League is."

“We also have the best players here and the quality of training is high-intensity. So, in that way, I’m quite ready with that. But as you said, playing a match, of course, sometimes it’s different than training, but the rhythm and all that is high."

“But here in training, we do very good training sessions.”
