Axel Disasi will reportedly cost Manchester United close to £43 million (50 million euros), according reports.
Erik ten Hag had a strong first season in command at Old Trafford, and United will have an exciting but expensive summer transfer window as they try to catch up to Manchester City. The top priority is a striker, and negotiations are ongoing with Rasmus Hojlund. Personal terms have also been reached with Mason Mount to bolster the midfield's strength.
A new goalkeeper, full-back, defensive midfielder, and center-back are also on the shopping list, so that's not all. A new center-back is especially needed because Victor Lindelof's future is up in the air and Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly have both been targeted for sales.
Monaco Disasi has been strongly connected with a transfer to Manchester and, as L'Equipe through French Football Weekly, would be enthusiastic about the change. Disasi reportedly has offers from a number of European clubs, although he is most 'interested' in joining United.
The two teams would need to come to an agreement, with Monaco demanding "nearly 50 million euros for Disasi." Disasi has selected United, but Fabrizio Romano noted on Twitter that Kim Min-Jae of Napoli, who is still the club's "top center-back target," is still the club's "Plan B" option.
Axel Disasi's teammate and fellow AS Monaco's defender Vanderson has as well reportedly returned on Manchester United's radar.
Manchester United 'preparing' move for AS Monaco full-back Vanderson, who plays for Ligue 1 team AS Monaco, is being eyed by Manchester United ahead of the forthcoming transfer window, as reported by Zero Hora via Sport Witness (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Brazilian national will be moved by the Red Devils next summer. The Old Trafford team is currently in contact with the full-back's representatives about a transfer from the French team.
The Red and Whites won't sell him for a low price, which makes sense considering the player's age and ceiling. The 21-year-old's release from the Monegasque club will cost £50 million.
In the 2022 winter transfer window, Gremio sold Vanderson to Monaco. Since that time, the defender has played a crucial role in the starting lineup for the Ligue 1 team.
He has once again played a significant role in the Red and Whites' strategy during the current campaign. The right-back has played 39 times for them in all competitions, with one goal and five assists.
The Brazilian has occasionally been used higher up front in addition to playing defense. The 21-year-old has also demonstrated his attacking skill while playing for the French team.
Regarding United, Diogo Dalot recently extended his agreement with the team through June 2028. The 2022–23 season has seen Erik ten Hag heavily rely on the Portugal international. However, the 23-year-old's performance has declined since the 2022 World Cup.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has returned to the team in recent months, though. The English player has outperformed the former FC Porto great and has surpassed him in the standings.
Harry Maguire, the captain of United, is allegedly a target for Tottenham this summer. The interest, according to The Telegraph, is unrelated to United's own efforts to recruit Harry Kane, and rather than being a prospective trade, it might be essential to keeping Kane at the North London club.
Given that the striker has already recommended his England teammate to the club and the two have a tight relationship from their time together with the national team, the article claims it might be viewed as a potential move to keep Kane.
And, according to Football Insider, Aston Villa is getting ready to enter the race for the 30-year-old's services.
A "'huge' spree" is reportedly planned, and according to "sources" at the Midlands club, they have "concrete interest" in him. With a seventh-place Premier League finish and a qualification for Europe, Villa are clearly on the rise.
Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris, the club's owners, have witnessed significant improvement under new manager Unai Emery and are not short of cash.
The Financial Times (FI) states that "[Maguire's] wages, reported to be more than £170,000-a-week, will probably pose less of a hurdle for Villa than their two rivals [Spurs and West Ham]."
The publication also indicated that the Villans tried to sign Maguire in January, supporting Romano's earlier remarks.
Since another recent report indicated that the London club wants Maguire in part to help convince his friend and United target Harry Kane to stay at the club, moving Maguire to Villa Park may be a better choice for United than selling him to Spurs.
